PHILANTHROPY
At Gaskins + LeCraw, we believe we are charged to serve others through active participation in making a positive impact on our immediate and global community. We support, both with time and financial resources, multiple organizations that do indispensable work. We also purposefully provide opportunities to serve by promoting community service initiatives as a firm, as well as offering employees paid time off each year to volunteer for causes that they are passionate about. This includes sending team members to Haiti, Mexico, Guatemala, and Brazil to work alongside other professionals helping provide food, clean water and shelter. Third Lens Ministries
Third Lens Ministries connects a network of architecture, engineering, real estate, and construction volunteers with ministry partners and donors all over the globe who are in need of facilities. Their projects span the globe from Alabama and Georgia, to Tanzania and Haiti, where Gaskins + LeCraw has completed design work on a community guest house that will host families involved with myLifespeaks’ mission work. Charity:Water
Charity:Water endeavors to solve the world’s water crisis by bringing clean and safe drinking water to people living in developing countries. 785 million people live without clean water – that is 1 in 10 people worldwide. Charity:Water works with local experts and community members to find the best sustainable water solution, whether it is a well in Ethiopia (such as the one we sponsored) or a system for harvesting rainwater. The Sonder Project
The Sonder Project’s mission is to strengthen communities, both domestically and internationally, through food security, clean water, housing, and education. They achieve this mission by adhering to three core values: sustainability, partnership, and equality. Example projects include establishing irrigated community farms, building schools, and installing water pumps. The Sonder Project also assists in crisis hurricane recovery and we were there to assist during Hurricane Michael. For more information, visit thesonderproject.org.
Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful
Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful (GC&B) is a community-based network focused on finding long-term solutions to environmental and quality of life issues through individual action. They foster and cultivate a community of environmental stewards, where individuals and institutions take greater responsibility to improve our water, land, air, and lives. Gaskins + LeCraw takes part in GC&B’s Adopt-A-Road initiative and clean up trash quarterly to help make Gwinnett a greener, cleaner, more livable community. Feed My Starving Children
Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) is dedicated to feeding children around the world who might otherwise perish from malnutrition and preventable causes related to undernutrition. FMSC works with food distribution partners that stay with communities for the long haul, empowering them to move from relief to development. Our offices close one day per year to provide all employees the opportunity to participate in a local FSMC Mobile Food Pack. This includes hand-packing meals for malnourished children. These meals are specially formulated by food science and nutrition professionals to supplement nutritional needs and reduce problems with malnutrition, allowing children to grow, thrive, and develop to their full potential.
